SAPIEN 3 Ultra

« Back to Glossary Index

SAPIEN 3 Ultra is an advanced transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) device used to treat aortic stenosis, a condition in which the aortic valve narrows and restricts blood flow from the heart to the rest of the body. The SAPIEN 3 Ultra is inserted through a small incision in the groin and guided to the heart using a catheter. Once in place, the device expands to replace the diseased aortic valve and restore proper blood flow. The SAPIEN 3 Ultra is made of durable materials and features a low-profile design for improved outcomes and reduced risk of complications.
