Dr. Valentin Fuster is a distinguished cardiologist and researcher who has made significant contributions to the field of cardiovascular medicine. He is the President of Mount Sinai Heart and Physician-in-Chief of The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, as well as the General Director of the National Center for Cardiovascular Research (CNIC) in Madrid, Spain.
He has held prestigious positions such as President of the American Heart Association, President of the World Heart Federation, and member of the US National Academy of Medicine. He is also the editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology and Nature Reviews in Cardiology.
Dr. Valentin Fuster is also a passionate educator and advocate for global health and well-being. He has received honorary doctorates from 33 universities and numerous awards for his research and clinical excellence. He is the founder and chairman of the SHE Foundation (Science for Health and Education), which promotes healthy habits among children and adolescents through scientific evidence and innovative programs.
