If you or a loved one has heart problems, an ECG smartwatch could be the best way to monitor your heart rhythm. It’s a simple process that involves placing your finger on the device’s digital crown for 30 seconds to take an ECG reading.
The resulting trace shows whether you’re in normal sinus rhythm (no problem) or atrial fibrillation. This information can help you understand your condition and manage it effectively.
1. Apple Watch Series 7
If you’re looking for a smartwatch to track your heart health, the Apple Watch Series 7 is one of the best options available in India. It can take ECGs and blood oxygen saturation measurements, which are essential for heart patients.
It’s also compatible with a range of apps and can be customized to suit your personal needs, which makes it an ideal choice for health enthusiasts. It’s not as sophisticated as a professional medical device, but it’s still a great tool for keeping tabs on your heart rate, tracking progress and getting alerts when something is wrong.
The Apple Watch Series 7 is the biggest upgrade since the Series 6 and offers a lot more in terms of functionality. It comes with a bigger display and more colors to choose from.
It also has faster charging capabilities thanks to a USB-C charger. It can charge up to 33 percent faster than the previous included charger and only takes eight minutes to fill up from flat.
2. Fitbit Charge 5
Fitbit’s latest smartwatch, the Charge 5, is packed with wellness features. It offers blood oxygen saturation monitoring and electrodermal activity tracking, which monitors sweat glands to detect stress.
The Charge 5 is also capable of taking ECGs to monitor atrial fibrillation or irregular heart rhythms. Just press the side button and place your finger on the bezel to get an electrocardiogram reading in 30 seconds.
Whether or not this is worth the extra cost will depend on your needs. For instance, if you want to be able to take more advanced readings (such as Daily Readiness) or access a library of mindfulness sessions, you’ll need to subscribe to Fitbit Premium for $10 per month.
The screen is also better than on the Charge 4 – a 1.04-inch colour AMOLED touchscreen that’s bright and easy to view in daylight. Plus, the always-on display means you can use it when not wearing a watch.
3. NoiseFit Twist

In terms of fitness, the device has a 24×7 heart rate monitor, SpO2 monitoring, sleep tracking and stress management. It also offers a menstrual cycle tracker and complies with IP68 water resistance standards for water and dust protection.
In addition to fitness and health tracking, the Twist also has other functions such as a built-in calculator, notification display, quick reply, weather and stock updates, camera control, music controls and instant reply. It also has a battery life of up to 7 days.
